Effective this coming March 1st, T-Mobile is offering a trio of lines of service of unlimited data for just a hundred bucks. Specifically, any existing or new subscriber under a T-Mobile One or Simple Choice plan with at least a couple of voice lines will now be able to add an extra line of service, absolutely free of charge.
For new subscribers, they will have the option of availing of three lines of service of Unlimited Data Talk and Text for $100 a month, plus all taxes and surcharges. The first couple of lines of service (with auto pay) are offered at $100 a month, while the third line is made free after bill credit. What is cool about this special offer is that it is not just for smartphone devices -- customers are free to get an additional tablet or a wearable device to that line of service. Despite the fact that this new deal is made available for a limited time only, once a user signs up, he will be able to keep his free line of service as long as he wants to if he is still on a qualified plan.
Among the Big Four wireless carriers in the United States, T-Mobile’s One unlimited data offering was already considered by many as one of the most budget friendly. But with this latest promo, T-Mobile may have an offer that is more appealing than Sprint’s recent deal, at least when it comes to getting three lines of unlimited data.
Also, it is worth noting that at T-Mobile, the customer will only pay the advertised price (which is $100 for three lines of service with unlimited data) because taxes and surcharges are already covered in the all-in price. On top of that, T-Mobile has chosen not to charge customers with line activation fees. With Sprint, it is a different story -- a customer getting three lines of service will have to pay an additional $90 in activation fees (that is three lines of $30 each) when they start using their plan. When you account for the current offer of three lines of service of unlimited data at $90, then the user will find himself paying at least $180 for month 1, and then after, nearly a hundred bucks per month when including taxes and surcharges, which are an additional seven to 10 percent to the customer’s bill.
