This should be good news to fans of America’s favorite sports -- this coming April 4th, Tuesday, T-Mobile is promising to give a free year’s subscription of MLB.TV baseball streaming to all its subscribers, including current or new customers on both prepaid and postpaid plans. This is part of the major US wireless carrier’s T-Mobile Tuesdays program, which aims to launch promos and special giveaways for its customers.
Specifically, T-Mobile is offering subscriptions to both MLB.TV (which normally costs $112.99) and At Bat Premium (usually priced at $19.99). Once subscribers are done registering, they can start enjoying access to MLB.TV Premium by way of any compatible connected device. Still, those interested should carefully note that the deal is only made available through the T-Mobile Tuesdays program, and customers can only sign up starting on April 4th at 5 AM ET. The special offer will end on April 5th at 4:59 AM ET. Also, customers who are signing up must also register online for MLB.TV Premium before April 11th at 4:59 AM ET, and then download the MLB.com At Bat mobile app so they could start viewing live baseball matches.
For those new to the T-Mobile Tuesdays program, they can still join in on the fun by download the T-Mobile Tuesday mobile app from Google Play for Android users and from iTunes for iPhone owners. Once they have installed the app, it is just a matter of signing up using their T-Mobile phone number, and then sign in every Tuesday in order to start availing of freebies.
The third biggest wireless carrier in the United States has been busy this week offering new deals and updating existing ones. Indeed, it has recently announced that its One unlimited plan now includes unlimited 4G LTE data on prepaid. Ever since the One and One Plus plans were first launched back in August of last year, its unlimited data was only made available to postpaid customers. But now T-Mobile’s prepaid customers can enjoy the same inclusion, plus unlimited 3G mobile hotspot use (but sans 4G LTE data tethering) as well as data free music streaming from a select group of streaming service providers.
Also this week, T-Mobile has also revealed that AppleCare Services is now included in its premium insurance plans. This means that iPhone using customers can now enjoy 24/7 access to Apple’s technical support, plus battery service (absolutely free of charge), software support for iOS, iCloud and Apple branded iOS mobile apps, and discounted service fees, including $29 for repairing damaged display screens for iPhones.
