When Verizon Wireless announced that it would be splitting its unlimited plan into two back in August, many of its users grew disappointed because of the complicated effects it would produce. Since many of Verizon’s customers only wanted a way to connect to LTE at a monthly price, the move complicated things. In addition to offering two different plans, Verizon also started to limit video quality across these plans.
Verizon’s Go Unlimited plan, available at $75 per month, offered unlimited LTE. Unfortunately, it only supported 480p streaming and offered up to 600 Kbps hotspot speed. The more expensive plan, Beyond Unlimited, was available for $85 for the first line. This plan offered streaming quality of up to 1080p. Unfortunately, the phones only reached up to 720p quality.
