AT&T has just announced that it has launched its Fixed Wireless Internet service in nine additional states in America. These states are Arkansas, California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, and Wisconsin. So far, the second biggest wireless carrier in the United States has rolled out the service in 18 states in total.
According to AT&T, this latest round of deployments has allowed the major US mobile operator to cover 160,000 locations, a number that is easily more than two fold what the company had rolled out back in June earlier this year (more in this later). Before the start of next year, the carrier is looking to reach more than 400,000 locations across the country, and by the end of the decade, grant access to more than 1.1 million locations throughout America.
